Rangoli Reflection

This term we have been learning about Rangoli and have even made a giant one in Reeves courtyard. It was a lot of fun making it. To make it we all had to get into groups of three or four and pick a certain small area to work in. My partners Sarah, Bridget and I chose to work on a small outer area of the Rangoli. Traditionally, rangoli are about building a sense of community and I believe this is true as all of year 7 had to work as a team to build it.The main colours my group and I used were warm colours like red, pink and yellow. The mini rangoli we made had lots of circles that went around each other and we made sure that it was perfectly symmetrical. The lines we used were more curved than straight and the pattern was pink, red and yellow in that order. In was a lot of fun making the Rangoli as we could be creative and also talk to friends and get to know people better. I believe that the rangoli looked very good in the end as it was very colourful but it definetly wasn`t very symmetrical. The best section of the rangoli would probably be the middle as it attracts the most attention compliments the rangoli the most of all sections.
